0.1 Ground
The first collection of Splendour is inspired by textures, tones and forms that come from the ground and the ground itself, such as plants, soil, tree roots, and the scenic landscape that surrounds us.
These ceramics consist of a range textures and tones of earthy brown and green glazes. There are various creative designs and sculpting techniques used on different products to help accentuate their own unique forms.
This collection includes different styles of mugs, bowls, vases, platters and plates.
0.2 Mist
Our Mist collection is inspired by the winter season, looking at things such as fog, mist, rain, clouds, and the darker morning blue sky. The use of coloured glazes, the fluid effect the glazes are applied and even the shape of some of the ceramics are all done in inspiration of Winter.
Although Winter may not be a favourite to many, you cant deny that there is a beauty displayed throughout this season and this collection is a modern display of this.
This collections includes different styles of mugs, bowls, vases, platters and plates.
0.3 Eggshell
Our Eggshell collection was brought about by the inspiration of seashells, sand and the sunshine. The speckled clay was used in a lot of this collection along with beige, orange and white toned glazes.
Some of these ceramics were created with indents and unusual curves to their form, the artist wanted to highlight the unusual shapes and objects you find at the beach and its beauty. Some others were carved to represent the texture on the shells you find on the beach.
0.4 Charcoal
This collection is a tad moody having tapped into the gravel, tar, cave and rain look and feel you will find some gorgeous pieces that although a darker shade it will still bring a new found creativity and modern design into your home.
Almost all of this collection has taken on the technique of a half glaze only, in order for the clays texture and original colour to do a lot of the talking.
This collection also displays some more abstract designs incorporated into the carving of these pieces, especially the vases and plant pots.
I am extremely happy with my purchase from Splendour, the serving platters are gorgeous! I would recommend this brand to any and all who are looking for quality New Zealand made ceramics.
My purchase arrived quickly and in perfect condition thanks to the care put into the packaging. Such a good brand and you can tell everything was done with such care, the bowls and vase I bought are absolutely beautiful!
